‘Infy is not in Mumbai because of poor quality of life’ – dnaindia.com

This particular statement is sadly the truth…
“No. See, we can hire anybody from any part to come and work in Bangalore. For youngsters, the first choice is Bangalore. Then it is Pune or Hyderabad. That’s what our study shows. I can go to Kolkata and hire 5,000 people every year. We need not be there. So for people like us, it does not matter where we are. We will go to places where it is comfortable, where the infrastructure is good, quality of living is good. Why are we not in Mumbai? The quality of life in Mumbai is pathetic. Look how will you get good housing? Housing is pathetic in Mumbai”

Reading this and watching other clips online, show what a different America it is from that 8 years ago. Now for some horrific thoughts….imagine Sarah Palin in Obama’s place. That cringing feeling? Ok, enough of evil thoughts. Enjoy the moment America and India !

Reading some of the comments below…my reaction is “WTF”. Are people really so stupid and demented. The “downfall” of America will be a result of the likes of Sherry Haner, Chris Schwartz and their ilk in Grand Rapids MI and other places. I think it needs a certain basic amount of gray cells to understand what Sarah Palin is saying. Sadly she attracts those who are lower than her on the cranial power ladder.
I think the Indians and the Chinese need not sweat over the “overtaking” of America. The Americans will aid in this process themselves.

Kavita Ramdya’s debut book “Bollywood Weddings: Dating, Engagement and Marriage in Hindu America” is this
year’s answer to the age-old questions, “Why do we fall in love with
the people we fall in love with?” and “Why do we marry the people we
choose to marry?” To answer these questions – the ethnic, religious,
linguistic, cultural, and financial qualities – and what our choice
means in terms of expressing our national identity, Kavita Ramdya does
an anthropological study of Indian-American Hindus in the tri-state New
York area. Do check out her website and I highly recommend the book.
