A new Asterix and Obelix book is being released in France to coincide with the 50th birthday of the comic-book heroes. The duo are still plenty beloved, but they are no longer symbols of France’s us-vs.-them mentality
    Quite simply one of my favorite foreign comic characters….right up there with Tintin, Phantom and Mandrake. Happy Birthday Asterix. And thanks for the wonderful entertainment for years as a child……and even now 🙂
