Indian Run Over in NYC, Dies
Just heard on the radio a short while ago that an Indian lady was run over by a hit and run driver, and succumbed to her injuries.
49-year-old Nina Sharma was struck by a car on Thursday night. She was standing at the end of her driveway awaiting her husband, Raj. Relatives say he had gone to bring a trash can from the family’s home to the curb, when she was hit and dragged down the street.
She was pronounced dead at Nassau University Medical Center later that night.
A 57-year-old man is under arrest in the fatal hit-and-run accident of a woman who was standing at the end of her driveway waiting for her husband.
Nassau police say Robert Fowler (pictured above) of N. Hickey Street in Massapequa is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality.
