This is a first for me. I just checked my Orkut profile today (ok don’t laugh) and found a message from Kamini Bathija. This was posted on my college community. Its nice to see that candidates are trying every avenue to get people to vote for them. If you live in the area, please vote for Kamini. At least she is tech savvy !!

I am Kamini Bathija, resident of Union Park (Ward 95). The BMC elections are on the 1st Feb ’07. I am Contesting for the same as an Independant. I have dedicated 40 years of my life for social work & the benefit of our society. I am an Ex – Corporator from the same ward & my symbol is the “BATTERY TOURCH” (No the spelling of tourch is not wrong, TORCH is to burn!) My agenda is:
– Provide Clean Water
– Minimize Electricity Rates
– Pothole Free Roads
– Healthy & Clean Enviornment
I would urge all of you, especially the educated to come out & vote for the benefit of our city. Time & again our city has faced problems & we as citizens always blamed the politicians for not doing enough. All I ask from you is to come out & voice your opinions via a simple vote.
