More than two years after India’s Bharti Enterprises announced a joint venture with US-based Wal-Mart for wholesale cash and carry operations, the name of the stores has been announced. Interestingly, the name neither has Wal-Mart nor Bharti in it. The 50-50 JV partners have decided to call it ‘BestPrice Modern Wholesale’.
Well….not literally Sam’s Club as is known in the US….but a similar store backed and stocked by Walmart.
