Going through the list of World’s Worst Polluted Places, I was really surprised to read the name of Vapi, Gujarat, India.
I’ve always known that Vapi is polluted, but so polluted ??
Vapi is about 50 km or so from our farm in South Gujarat. We pass it all the time on our way to the farm.
Vapi is also home to a massive industrial complex called GIDC…Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation. Dozens of industries hire thousands of people to work here manufacturing everything from paper pulp, soap, and toothpaste to massive machinery and other components for industrial plants.
OMG !!! vapi is on the world’s top something list. Sad that it had to be something like this but still. This story will go in upcoming Indicast!!
